When the track interacts with the rolling stock, forces arise that determine all the dynamic loads transmitted to the railway structural elements and rolling stock. In determining the reliability, stability of the operation of rolling stock and infrastructure, it is necessary to refer to the values of the interaction forces between the rail and the wheelsets. At present, these force measurement systems have not been developed during operation, so it is necessary to control the derived (indirect) indicators that determine the interaction. These are wheel defects and track geometry irregularities. Wheel defects are currently detected by their size, measured at wagon inspection points, and track geometry irregularities are detected by track gauges. In order to assess the criteria ensuring traffic safety, special experiments are performed, during which the parameters of the interaction are measured. A mathematical model of the interaction of geometric parameters with force with uneven wear is presented.en_US
