dc.description.abstractLiDAR is one of the primary sensors used in automated driving. Its task is to provide information about the environment and the obstacles. Adverse weather conditions may affect the effective operation of the LiDAR sensor. The article presents the two most important methods of LiDAR sensor testing. The methodology of building test rigs was described and critically analysed. As part of the work, the construction process from the ground up of the test rig to the study of the impact of rain of varying intensity on the LiDAR sensor works was presented. The method and results of tests carried out with the use of the constructed test rig, showing the influence of rain intensity on the operation of LiDAR sensor, are presented.en_US
