dc.description.abstractThe main features of passenger car dynamics such as running smoothness and a derailment stability are estimated in this publication. The running smoothness is evaluated considered the parameters of carbody vibrations and by oscillation of bogies. The oscillation of body, suspension and other running gear elements occur while train moving by track irregularities. The four-axle passenger car movement on tangent track with given vertical and lateral rail irregularities is simulated by using software package „Universal Mechanism” (UM). The dependence of oscillation amplitudes of passenger car body on track irregularities considering the suspension vertical and lateral stiffness were defined. The variation of derailment stability taking into account changing the stiffness of car suspension elements analysed in this work.en_US
