Investigation of the polyacrylamide - polyvinylimidazole - pentacyanoferrate(III) redox polymer as the electron mediator in the enzymatic assays
Abstract
The redox polymers are used in the enzymatic assays such as biosensors. During the research, the polyacrylamide - polyvinylimidazole - pentacyanoferrate(III) redox polymer was constructed. The optimum construction methods, also the stability were investigated. The acrylamide - vinylimidazole ratio in the polymer was determined. The spectrophotometric and voltamperometric measurements were used. The research showed that the modification of acrylamide side chains with hydrazine knocks out the pentacyanoferrate(III) out of the polymer.
