Abstract
The article presents analysis of the mathematical model to which the most productive economically facilities for passenger transportation are selected applying extreme search technique. The model allows comprehensive assessing of income and expenditure parameters of passenger transportation depending on specifications of the used rolling stock. To count on the model, there are options presented to decrease losses on one of railway routes typical for Lithuania and practical solutions provided with reason.
