Abstract
JIT (Just in time) payment arrangement is one of the competitive requirements in e-business. The abundance of settlement technologies identified the need to create settlement portals allowing transforming one way to represent the amounts of transferred money in one or another Internet system into a different way. However, the adoption of the new law "On the National Payment System of Russia" and of its subsequent amendments provides new opportunities for e-business, which have become the object of study in this work. This paper investigates issues in the implementation of electronic payments as an integral part of e-business in Russia. The evolution of the electronic payment has been analyzed both as to their possible applications in the traditional business and as to e-business on the Internet on the basis of the classification of payments in the traditional and electronic business.
