Global competitiveness of exporting business: the case study of Lithuania

Abstract

The article aims to study global competitiveness of exporting business of Lithuania. In the article is studied theoretical aspects of international trade challenges and global competitiveness of exporting business, international trade tendencies in Lithuania in the period of 2004-2013, Lithuanian structure of international trade in 2008-2013, explored Lithuanian international trade partners in 2013, evaluated global competitiveness of Lithuania. The results of research indicates that to achieve global competitiveness of Lithuanian exporting companies is important properly prepare international trade specialists. Highly educated and appropriately qualified people could be as the main factor for development the Lithuanian exports of high value-added products and services.
