Sensitivity quantification of airfield rigid pavement stress responses
Abstract
This study evaluated the sensitivity of airfield rigid pavement responses with respect to top-down and bottom-up cracking. The analysis was conducted by positioning an Boeing 737-800 (B737-800) aircraft at different locations (interior, corner, and edge of slab) as baseline while varying other inputs, including mechanical properties of concrete pavement, subbase materials and temperature. Sensitivity evaluations were performed using a normalized sensitivity index.
