Prospects of biofuels introduction into aviation

Abstract

The introducing article outlines modern perspectives of transition from conventional to alternative aviation fuels. The present ecological situation determined by the activity of aviation industry is presented. There is a short review of the world experience in use of alternative aviation fuels, the most widely used technologies and raw material for its production. Much attention is paid to the analysis of the national Ukrainian policy in the sphere of alternative energy sources use. The concept of biofuels implementation into civil aviation developed by the National aviation university is presented in the article. Brief analysis of present-day standards for jet fuels is done. The idea of aviation biokerosene production and its future perspectives are discussed in the research.
