Mathematical modelling of sound fields in urban environment
Abstract
A model for sound fields calculation in urban areas has been presented. Proposed model consists of block structure.
The main blocks are calculation of sound power level of vehicles of various vehicle categories, attenuation of sound
during its propagation from source to receiver and modelling of traffic flows. Such attenuation effects as noise barriers attenuation,
influence of impedance ground surfaces and additional reflections were considered. Some case studies have been presented
to demonstrate the adequacy of theoretical calculations to measurement results.
