Complaints about power quality and reliability of electricity supply from renewable sources
Abstract
The significant increase in energy production from renewable sources leads to the need of exploring new ways of energy systems. Evaluation of the interruption of renewable energy sources becomes very important to assess their impact on the supply network and also on the reliability of energy systems. Wind turbines and solar panels, thanks to its structure and nature of work may be a source of disturbances in supply networks, and also in their work affects the quality of electricity. All the factors of power quality is an issue of considerable importance, since their occurrence in the values is the reason of adverse claim on the quality of electricity by customers of electricity and CEZ, as the main distributor of electricity from the point of manufacture to point of consumption of electricity. Operators of wind and solar power plants connected to the transmission network, there is a failure to comply with prescribed parameters for power quality penalty.
