Iris recognition is becoming one of the most evolving and researched fields in human authentication and biometrics. Despite the fact that the topic itself is relatively young, the progress in late years has been significant. Still for most of access control and biometric identification systems based on iris pattern recognition, the biggest problem is high iris quality needed for template extraction and comparison. Almost all systems, used worldwide, requires user cooperation and are intrusive. In this article the key points that make it difficult to have distant iris recognition and possibilities to have as little intrusive as possible moving person iris recognition system are analyzed. Prototype for moving iris recognition system is constructed, new methodology proposed and experiments made.
