Design and Comparison of Fuzzy Controllers for Six-phase Drive
Abstract
The paper presents simulation results of a symmetrical six-phase induction drive. The drive control system is based on indirect rotor flux field-oriented control mode. Two three-phase frequency converters, generating two three-phase voltage sets shifted by 60 electrical degrees were applied in the model to produce six-phase voltage. Two types of Fuzzy controllers designed and tested. The simulation results of the controlled system with reference input including acceleration, steady-state and deceleration indicate a small speed delay at the beginning of the process and accurate following the reference. Both fuzzy controllers develop robust systems.
