Abstract
Presented study explores the application of Virtual Reality (VR) technology in enhancing manual waste sorting in conveyor-based systems. The research addresses the inefficiencies in manual sorting processes and the limited scope of current studies. VR is proposed as a solution to replicate real sorting lines for experimental research, offering benefits like parameter variation and worker safety. The study outlines the components of the VR system, including virtual sorting cabin representation and haptic gloves. It emphasizes the possibilities and limitations of VR-based research, aiming to improve waste management and material recovery rates.
