Perceiving the Resilience of Land Transport Critical Entities
Abstract
Land transport sector is one of the most important critical infrastructure sectors, essential for the proper functioning of almost every country and the continuity of their essential services. The issue of critical infrastructure protection has undergone a major transformation since its inception. Although in the early days this issue was addressed mainly in the context of the protection of a specific element of critical infrastructure, currently the issue of critical infrastructure protection is based on the principle of strengthening the resilience of critical entities. Based on these facts, the paper presents general and specific criteria for designating critical entities in the area of land transport. According to these criteria, critical land transport entities are recommended. In the case of these entities, attention is subsequently paid to their resilience, especially to the factors determining individual types of resilience, namely organizational, technical, social, and economic.
