Determination Modelling of Ukraine’s High-Speed Railways with Shared Use for Passengers and Cargo Service

Abstract

The possibilities of applying the principle of joint use of future high-speed railways for both passenger and individual cargo transportation in the transport system of Ukraine are considered. Methods of substantiating the rational proportion of passenger and freight trains on the line are proposed, as well as determining the technological and economic parameters of the functioning of high-speed railways as part of a multimodal transportation system. An economic-mathematical model is described, which allows to optimize design and technological solutions in the construction and operation of high-speed railways depending on the economic and other conditions of their functioning.
