Business units worldwide apply Lean logistics principles because it enables to manage complicated
business situations effectively. For each enterprise, it is advisible to apply Lean logistics as a business
management concept that lowers costs by reducing the amount of unnecessary processes, saving resources,
and improving efficiency of business activities. At the same time, a business unit gains a
competitive advantage providing a product or service to the customer at reasonable prices. Therefore, application
of Lean logistics principles can be a suitable tool for seeking a competitive advantage. The objective
of this article is to suggest a potential conceptual model of implementing Lean logistics principles
in Lithuanian transport companies.
